Addis Amba Pre-Primary & Primary School
Opened five years ago, Addis Amba Pre-Primary & Primary School now serves over 1,000 students in safe, bright, and well-ventilated classrooms. Built in partnership with Bahir Dar University, the Kebele 14 community, and the Bahir Dar City Education Department, the new three-storey cement-block facility has reduced class sizes from more than 90 to just 50 students per room, creating a much stronger learning environment.
The school community has begun developing outdoor classrooms, tree fencing, and educational gardens, with planting scheduled to coincide with the rainy season. Teachers continue to participate in ongoing training and classroom-based mentorship, ensuring high-quality, student-centred learning across all grades.
